Mr Morritt charges a £205 fee for the initial private cosmetic surgery consultation. Initial consultations typically last approximately 30 minutes. This price also includes any further consultations that are necessary before surgery, and also after surgery (for 1 year from initial consultation). All patients undergoing cosmetic surgery procedures are seen at least twice before surgery. All consultations take place in Sheffield at the Spire Claremont Private Hospital and Thornbury Hospitals. Andrew charges £100 for consultations after the aftercare package has finished e.g. breast implant check ups. In some instances a recommendation is made that patients are not suitable for cosmetic surgery or that they should not proceed with cosmetic surgery and in this event the consultation fee is not refundable.

Free cosmetic surgery consultations in Sheffield

Mr Morritt offers free 10 minute cosmetic surgery mini-consultations in person or online (please contact prices.thornbury@circlehealthgroup.co.uk to arrange). Mini-consultations allow patients to learn more about cosmetic surgery procedures and ask any questions that they have. The free cosmetic surgery consultations do not include an examination and are therefore not a substitute for a full consultation as individual recommendations cannot be made without a full examination. If patients decide to proceed to a full consultation the normal consultation fee of £205 will apply.

Andrew does not personally undertake free full cosmetic surgery consultations. He is charged for the use of the hospital rooms where he consults and for administrative costs and the consultation fee contributes to these and other practice costs. The consultation is a detailed face to face assessment and patients are provided with a formal letter containing written recommendations. Please be aware that in many instances where free consultations are offered these are frequently brief, do not take place with the surgeon (or in fact with a surgeon in some instances) who will be performing the surgery, are frequently followed by high pressure sales tactics, or the consultation fee is included within the price for surgery (but this not indicated explicitly).

Over the years, the funding criteria for having cosmetic procedures on the NHS has become increasingly strict meaning that it is uncommon for patients to get free breast augmentation, free breast reduction or free tummy tuck surgery on the NHS these days. Patients wishing to have cosmetic surgery on the NHS are advised to consult their GP’s in the first instance. If the GP feels that the request is appropriate then they will need to apply for funding for the surgery (this is called an IFR) from the local CCG (Clinical commissioning group). If the IFR application is successful the GP can then refer the patient for NHS treatment.

All quotations for cosmetic surgery are fixed price quotations and are not negotiable. For patients having ‘mummy makeover’ surgery (combined breast and tummy surgery) or other combinations of procedures e.g. tummy tuck + liposuction the total price to pay is lower than the combined price of the procedures if the operations were performed separately because one less hospital stay is involved and the total anaesthetic time is shorter.
